- Tell your readers 11 random facts about yourself.
- Give your nominees 11 questions to answer on their blog when they post their nomination.

MY NOMINEES:
Miss Melody Muffin at The Splendor Falls on Castle Walls
Erudessa at The Flowering Vales
NessKingsley at Of Words and Books

QUESTIONS FROM CATHERINE AT WHEN IT DOES:
#1 - Do you have a favourite song?
Wowzers (my youngest brother used to say that all the time, hehe). That’s a toughie. There are so many different categories of music that listing an overall favorite is difficult. I guess I’d choose Kind by Amanda Cook; a new worship song that I heard only a week ago but I love it. Utterly powerful.

#2 - What literary character do you think you’re the most like?
Meg from Little Women. Even though I don’t like how she often points out her sisters silly behavior a lot, I certainly did that all the time as the eldest of five. I always related more to her tastes and feelings about life than any of the other March sisters.

#3 - Cats or Dogs?
Um, cats? I’m not really an animal person. I know that’s strange. Lol. But I/my family never had pets growing up. However, my cousins had dogs but I was always terrified of dogs as a kid and even today, I get easily startled by dogs that want to lick you, get on your lap, bark incessantly/loudly.

#4 - What film always cheers you up?
As a kid, my family owned VHS movies of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. I watched the heck out of those films and they always made me happy.

#5 - Frodo, Sam, Merry or Pippin?
This is very cruel. (not really, of course). Okay, It’s a neck and neck between Frodo and Sam. Sam I love because he’s Sam -  he’s honest, real, utterly loyal, kind and what a friend/person should be. Frodo has many good qualities as well, mainly humility, kindness and a self-sacrificial heart, not to mention he has heartbreaking big blue eyes. But if I wanted to be one of them it would be Sam.

#6 - What would be your specialist subject on a quiz show?
Star Wars? Haha, probably not a subject. I probably don’t know as much Star Wars facts as I used to as a kid. I knew waaaay too much back then. I probably would choose history. I’m not really a history buff but I’ve got a lot of random historical facts floating in my head somewhere, probably waiting to win me a million dollars on a game show.

#7 - Who’s your favourite Disney Prince/hero?
Shang, Flynn, Kristoff and Beast are my favorites. If I was to choose just one… I’d go with Beast because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie and I must be loyal (because otherwise I would choose Flynn!!)

#8 - If you could bring back one fashion from the past (e.g poodle-skirts, togas, scrunchies) what would it be?
Medieval dresses with ridiculously long sleeves. Just for special occasions (because obviously doing the dishes in that thing would be nigh impossible).

#9 - What’s your favourite gemstone?
Turquoise.

#10 - What are your current favourite baby names (boy and girl)?
Boys: Tayson. Asher. Milo. Judah. Kieran. Girls: Elaina. Elaine. Rhema. Kira.

Sabe from Star Wars
#11 - Can you tell us a piece of random trivia?
Random trivia. *searching through my mind palace* Natalie Portman was about 14 when she signed on to play Padme Amidala in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace but was around 16 when she started filming. However, Keira Knightley who played Sabe (Padme’s decoy and look-a-like) was 14 during the filming of The Phantom Menace. (I often wonder what the movies would’ve been like if Keira had gotten the role of Padme and Natalie the role of Sabe…. Only to decide that I don’t think it would’ve been that different). Oh and the actor who played Prince Henry from Ever After nearly got the role of Aragorn. And if the websites are to be believed, NICHOLAS CAGE almost played Aragorn as well. I shudder thinking about it.

11 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT MOI:

#1 - I’ve only been out of the country once…. to Canada, if that counts.

#2 – I played the piano for about 10 years as a kid but haven’t really touched the keyboard in quite a few years. I’m sure I’m pretty rusty, though I do wonder if I began practicing again how well I would play. I guess I should find out…

#3 – I’m the oldest grandchild on both sides of my parents. Which means I have unlimited power amongst my siblings/cousins (okay not really)

#4 – If I haven’t mentioned this before, my favorite films are: Star Wars (all of them), then Lord of the Rings (all of them… except the Hobbit movies. Shhh!), and then the Rurouni Kenshin films. After that comes everything else like Pride and Prejudice and Pirates of the Caribbean and all those lovely films out there.

#5 – I hate rollercoasters. Hahaha. And yes I rode a “big” one recently. And the entire time I rode it, feeling sick and being battered around in a hard plastic seat by all the g-forces hitting my body, I told myself, “I am never doing this again.”

#6 – I love the boho-chic style clothing – white, layered, lacy, feminine. I just don’t wear it very often because it’s not very practical. (practical is t-shirts and jeans, my friends)

#7 – I like sewing and made a tutu, wings, wand and corset for a fairy outfit for last Halloween. It came out pretty well.

99 & Max from Get Smart
#8 – One of my favorite shows as a young teen was the 60s’ Get Smart on TVLand (there was a movie remake a couple years ago with Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell). The original was so funny and adorable. “Missed me by THAT much!”

#9 – I just bought a Kindle. This is my first e-reader! I’m pretty excited!

#10 – Last year, my sisters and I went on our first vacation that was just the three of us. Four days in Florida; it was so much fun. The weather was incredible and the beach was so beautiful. If only vacations didn’t cost so much dough.

#11 – My family and I were stranded on an island off the coast of Florida during a vacation many years ago. Okay… we were only stuck there a couple hours because our boat died or ran out of gas or something. Luckily my dad brought his cellphone because my grandparents/aunt/uncle/ didn’t. Also when we first got to the small island, the beach was full of dead stinking fish. So we walked to the other side of the island and paradise awaited us with a perfect white beach and no dead fish.

QUESTIONS FOR BLOGGERS THAT I’VE NOMINATED:
#1 – If you would live anywhere in the world, where?
#2 – What did dream occupation did you have as a child?
#3 – If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, which color?
#4 – Favorite new book?
#5 – Do you prefer to watch foreign entertainment with subtitles, dubs, or you don’t like to watch foreign entertainment?
#6 – Favorite fairytale?
#7 – If you decided to learn another language, what language would you choose?
#8 – Books or E-readers?
#10 – Your favorite real historical lady?
#11 – If a new planet was discovered and you got to name it, what name would you choose?

Feel free nominees to join in (or not, no pressure)! If you do, leave a tag in the comments so I can see your post. :D

  1. me too on #3, though I don't like cats either, I think pets are for other people

#7 - Beauty and the beast is one my favorite too, have you seen the 2014 french version? that one is so gorgeous.

#11 - I still think the original star wars is better, didn't quite like the remakes

    1. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one, hehe.

I have seen the 2014 French version. It was absolutely stunning and really my ideal of what a fairy tale film should aspire to look like. I was a little disappointed that they skipped over scenes of Belle and Beast becoming friends, which is shown way more in the original La Belle et La Bete 1946.

I hear you, about Star Wars. The originals will always be my favorite. But growing up with the prequels (like I literally would re-watch the films several times in one day, haha) have endeared them to me.

Welcome and thank you so much for commenting Lissa! I so appreciate it!

I hope you have a wonderful day also!

    2. I didn't miss that part but since I own the disney version, the 1946 and the 2014 version and the tv show, I sort of got all the angles, if I watch them all at the same time, which I sometimes do, I wouldn't really miss it.

& yes, if you go up watching certain version of star wars, you would indeed like those versions better, I saw the originals first so I guess it's why I like them better. honesty, I thought the new versions doesn't have the humor the original have but I guess it's how you see it.

thanks for your visits to my blog, have a lovely day.

    3. That's true - the story is so well known to me, it's not hard to fill in the blanks. :D

Oh I agree; the prequels were sadly deprived of humor, which is terrible because that's one of my favorite things about Star Wars!

Your blog is lovely! You're so talented with your art. :D

  2. Love your answers :) Flynn and the Beast are my favourites too! And I can't believe Nicholas Cage could have been Aragorn. That would have been horrendous :O

    1. Thank you! Flynn and Beast are the best. Hehe. And yes! -anyone else playing Aragorn (especially Cage!) would've been awful.

  3. Bing Crosby?!! Holiday Inn? White Christmas? I grew up with those. So good!

Agreed - FLYNNN! and the Beast. When he had that deep voice - for some reason, I've never liked him after the transformation.

Thank you for nominating me ... I may have cheated dreadfully though, forgive me!

    1. Yes, nothing like the classics!

Who can resist the charms of Flynn and the Beast? Lol - luckily I was never scarred by the change of his voice, though I can understand your feelings.

You're welcome! And there's really no way to cheat on this. Your answers were hilarious and lovely!

Six Flying Dragons Review

Six Flying Dragons Review
Once in a while a drama comes onscreen that you were destined to love. Six Flying Dragons had my heart written all over it as soon as I learned about it. I’ll now apologize for the amount of fangirling that is about to commence over this drama…
Asdgjlkghahsgdhs I LUUUUV DIS DRAMA!!!! <3 <3 <3
Ahem.
Despite the fact that I knew this drama was going to be the best thing ever, I didn’t watch it while it aired. I hadn’t committed to finishing a 50-episode drama in a looong time but I knew with this one I would have to make an exception. Finally, when I thought I had the time to start on it, I dived in. So glad I did.
Six Flying Dragons tells the story of the passionate politician Jung Do Jeon who wants to change the decaying government of Goryeo and start a new dynasty and rule of government with virtuous General Yi Seong-Gye as king. However, it is Yi Seong-Gye’s fourth son, Yi Bang-Won, who relates most to Jung Do Jeon’s dream – and who will also be Jun…

Cinderella and the Four Knights: Episode 1 Recap

Cinderella and the Four Knights is here! This K-drama recaptures the old fun from popular dramas like You're Beautiful and Boys Before Flowers with the "pretty boy" squad and plucky, poor heroine who wins all their hearts. The real question is, how will our Cinderella ever be able to choose? Here's a recap of the first episode!
The Introduction

The episode starts out with the heroine, Eun Ha-Won, whose life closely resembles that of Cinderella, working endless part-time jobs while dealing with a selfish step-mom and step-sister.

We also meet the three Kang grandsons: very different cousins who don’t get along at all. Kang Seo-Woo is the quieter cousin who focuses on his music. Kang Hyun-Min is a womanizer who is constantly breaking up with girls (and giving them expensive parting gifts to soften the blow, lol). Through flashbacks we see he’s been with his rich grandfather, CEO Kang, the longest. Kang Ji-Woon is the newest addition – he was found recently, the long-los…

What A Girl Wants Review

I still remember the first time I watched this film – at my friend’s house, sitting on her bedroom floor, watching it on a small television with a VHS player. Hehe. Those were the days. What A Girl Wants is a modern, somewhat looser Cinderella retelling that while a simple, cheesy teen flick, has a lot of sweet charm to it, especially with its message of father-daughter relationships and finding one’s identity.

The story starts out with Daphne Reynolds who lives with her single mom, Libby, in Chinatown, New York. Her mom’s a wedding singer while Daphne, at seventeen, is working odd jobs and trying to decide what to do next with her future. At one of the weddings, Daphne is working as waitress when the father-daughter dance begins. Her mother recognizes that forlorn look and tries to console Daphne, but Daphne’s pained at the thought that her father-daughter dance will never come.

It’s been enough years of waiting for Daphne. She finally sets out for London, leaving her mom a note exp…
